A historic site, old world techniques and California modernity culminate wryly into this new classic. Grenache and Syrah, co-fermented with a tiny amount Viognier and Muscat that grow among the vines. The result is serious, but playful and wildly perfumed. The grapes are all crushed by foot and fermented whole cluster, with nothing more than gentle punchdowns throughout.

Pressed to old, neutral French oak barrique for a 10 month elevage, capturing and preserving the delicate and expressive nature. The dark red fruited core of Grenache and the sauvage and peppercorn scented character of Syrah coalesce in complete symbiosis. Masculine in appearance yet charming and effeminate, the delicate perfume and floral aromatics tease of the guileful Viognier and Muscat.
